I spent yesterday morning working on the CSA farm at the foot of the hill, weeding, hoeing, staking tomato plants, planting lettuces... This has been the wettest June on record in this part of New Hampshire, and all the tasks that normally take place in early June have been put off until now. I saw the potato plants in bloom. I was astounded by the beauty of the blossoms (which these photos don't really capture). I could imagine a vase filled with mixed potato blossoms, with their golden centers and pink,, white, purple and blue petals. I wonder if anyone has ever done that. .
