Denise's mother visited us this weekend, and I had an excuse to try to master the use of a tiny digital camera without a viewfinder to record some of the beauties of Fall in New Hampshire.  It's quite remarkable to live within walking distance of three farms and to be able to walk to the most beautiful of them with a nonagenarian in tow.

20-Ounce Apples

These are called 20 Ounce apples , even though that is not their weight. They are a very old variety that is great for making pies, and the CSA has a tree full of them where we can help ourselves.

Wow, thanks for sharing, Jim. The area is beautiful. I wish I could wander over to a nearby apple tree and help myself. =) It's nice to see a picture of you too!
