Christamas Eve and Flowers - nhpeacenik
Christamas Eve and Flowers
Denise was busy baking pies when the florist knocked on the door to deliver a bouquet of flowers from her mother.  Denise immediately called her mom to thank her,and they discovered that both were listening to the radio broadcast of the  "Nine Lessons and Carols" program from King 's College. Earlier in the morning I had been playing John Kirkpatrick's simply amazing "Carolling and Crumpets", a song in which all the animals can talk at midnight on Christmas Eve, but none of them are quite sure what to say. Christmas is a time of year when our beings are overwhelmed by a collective need to maintain tradition... it almost doesn't matter what tradition. In some ways we're as dumbfounded (or temporarily dis-dumbfounded? ) as the animals in this song.

Our daughter and Denise's mother will be joining us on Saturday., and the phone will probably be in continuous use.

Every year I wait for Toby to say something, but he never does. Perhaps he can, but just doesn't know what to say!

Anyway, only stopped by to say Merry Yule, I hope you have a lovely weekend! Right, back to last minute present wrapping, (and maybe another seasonal photoshoot if I have time, hehe!)
