Seventh blizzard of the season! - nhpeacenik
Seventh blizzard of the season!
Aaron, a neighbor of ours made a time-lapse movie of himself shoveling snow after the latest blizzard here in Greenville. All the roads have six-foot walls of snow alongside them. Aaron had more shoveling  to do than we did, but not by much :)

This movie is also interesting because it shows one of the walk-in houses at Brookwood Ecology Center, the land trust where I live. Aaron's house is located deep in the woods at the end of a walk-in trail; it would seem to be the ideal home for a technophobe, but Aaron actually makes his living in cyberspace. Our house is along a road, as are most of the houses here.

that was a fun video.

although, i am sick of the snow!

in portland, theyve been hauling the snow off in big trucks, so it doesnt seem like there is as much as the news has said we have had! but today, i am visiting my mother in the country, and the snow banks are much taller than i am! this may not be too impressive, as i am only hobbit sized, but wow! so much snow!

the news said weve had well over eight feet this year.

hopefully we will get spring for our birthday =)

An old friend of Bets

Hi Jim,
My name is Kevin Fletcher. I was a friend to Bets and your family when I was much younger. Bets was living in the attic apartment at the Brown Property in Bristol, RI.
I recently moved into the apartment that was once Theirry and Rip's (they are now one combined apartment.
I miss Bets. She was an inspiration to me.
I would love to have a nice photo of her.

When I was in high school, back in 1982 - 1986, Bets and I would walk through the Mt. Hope woods in the afternoon. I treasure those memories.

If you would ever like to come visit me, you are welcome.

Say hello to Russy and Annie Giddings for me.
